Private tours accommodate groups of up to 14 guests.
Most private tours run 5–6 hours, which gives your group time to visit 3–4 wineries at a
relaxed pace with a lunch break in between. Shorter and longer tours are available.
Here are a few examples to help you estimate your total:
G R O U P S I Z E T O U R L E N G T H B A S E C O S T W I T H G R A T U I T Y

We handle winery reservations on your behalf whenever possible. Some wineries may require prepayment or a deposit — we'll coordinate the reservation process with the winery and keep you informed every step of the way.

the right tour length and itinerary.
Should your tour extend beyond the time booked, additional time is charged at $30.00 per 15 minutes.
What to Expect on Your Private Tour Day
Morning Pickup — Your driver arrives at your hotel, vacation rental, or Airbnb at the time
you've chosen together. Most groups start between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, but private tours
offer flexibility to depart earlier or later based on your plans.
First Winery — The day begins at a winery selected to match your group's preferences.
Whether you love bold Cabernets, crisp Chardonnays, or want to explore something new, we
help match you with tasting rooms that fit your style. Private appointments mean your group
gets personal attention from the winemaker or tasting room staff. New to wine tasting? Our
wine tasting etiquette guide covers everything you need to feel confident at your first pour.
Lunch Break — Between stops, your group can enjoy lunch at a winery with food service, a
nearby restaurant, or bring your own picnic. We're happy to suggest local favorites or help
arrange reservations based on where the day takes you.
Additional Wineries — Most groups visit 3–4 wineries over the course of the day, though the
pace is entirely up to you. We allow flexibility to extend the day at the last winery. If you are having
an amazing time, we are happy to extend the day for you.
Drop-Off — At the end of the day, we bring your group back to your accommodation relaxed,
happy, and with plenty of new favorite wines to talk about. Most tours wrap up between 4:00
and 5:00 PM.

Private Tour Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a private Sonoma wine tour cost?
Private tours are priced at $100.00 per hour plus $40.50 per person, with a 20% gratuity automatically
added to the final total. Most tours run 5–6 hours. For example, a group of 4 on a 5-hour tour comes to
approximately $794 after gratuity. Tasting fees at wineries are paid separately and typically range from
$20–$35 per person. Your guest count is confirmed two weeks prior to your tour date, at which time
final payment is due. Should you wish to add guests after confirmation, we're happy to accommodate
additional travelers subject to winery availability, with the per-person rate applied to each added guest.
How long do private wine tours last?
Most private tours run 5–6 hours, but the schedule is flexible. Some groups prefer a shorter 4-hour
afternoon, while others extend to a full-day experience. We'll help you plan a timeline that works for your
group's pace and interests.
Can we choose which wineries to visit?
Absolutely. If you have specific wineries in mind, we'll build the route around your selections and help
coordinate reservations. If you'd rather leave it to us, we'll recommend wineries based on your wine
preferences, group size, and the region you'd like to explore.
Is lunch included on private tours?
Lunch is not included in the tour price, but we have several options to keep your group well fed. You can
add our curated charcuterie boxes at $17.99 per person — a perfect pairing for a day of wine tasting.
Other options include stopping at a winery with on-site food service, making a reservation at a local
restaurant, or packing a picnic. We're happy to recommend great spots along your route.
What is the cancellation policy for private tours?
Our cancellation policy is based on how far in advance you cancel before your scheduled tour date:
• 14+ days before your tour — full refund
• 7–14 days before — 50% refund
• 2–7 days before — 25% refund
• Less than 2 days before — non-refundable
All cancellation windows are based on the tour start time.
How far in advance should I book a private tour?
We recommend booking at least one month in advance to secure your preferred date. During busy
season — typically late summer through fall harvest (August through October) — booking even further
out is a good idea, as popular dates fill up quickly. For last-minute availability, reach out directly — we
occasionally offer special last-minute deals on open dates, so it's always worth checking.
